A step-by-step guide to connecting your Xero organisation to GATHER.nexus so it can be used as a Company within the platform.
1) Navigate to Company Setup
From your GATHER.nexus dashboard, go to Multi-Entity & Display > Company.
Each connected Xero organisation appears in GATHER.nexus as a Company.
2) Start the Connection
Click Add Company.
Choose Connect to Xero.
3) Authorise in Xero
You’ll be redirected to Xero’s secure sign-in.
Log in and select the Xero organisation you want to connect.
Authorise GATHER.nexus to access the organisation.
4) Company Currency
When the Xero organisation is connected, its base currency is read automatically from Xero.
The company's base currency is used as the company's currency within GATHER.nexus.
5) Set Up the Company as a Subsidiary
If the connected company is part of a group as a subsidiary:
Return to the Company screen.
Find the connected company and click the Edit icon.
Set the Subsidiary Company toggle to Yes.
The Subsidiary details section appears.
Select how the company joined the group:
Acquired an existing company, or
Formed a new entity.
The information required after selecting either option depends on how the company joined the group.
For an acquired existing company, the setup includes the Holding Company, Acquisition Date, Shareholding Percentage, Purchase Consideration, and other applicable details.
For a newly formed entity, the setup includes the Holding Company, Incorporation Date, and Parent's Ownership %.
The ownership information entered here is used by GATHER.nexus for the group's consolidation calculations.
6) Complete the Connection
Once connected, the company is available within GATHER.nexus and can be included in a group.
If the company is being used as a subsidiary for consolidation, complete the subsidiary setup before proceeding with the group's consolidation configuration.
