The Overview tab provides a central view of the intercompany activity between companies in your Groups. It helps you check which recharges, reconciliations, and eliminations exist and identify setups that may still be missing.
1) Open the Overview
Go to Intercompany Control.
Open the Overview tab.
The Overview is the default tab and displays the relationships between companies across your Groups.
2) Review the Summary Figures
At the top of the screen, summary tiles show counts for:
Recharge workflows
Reconciliation records
Elimination records
Loans
Open gaps
The Open gaps tile is highlighted in amber when one or more company pairs have a setup that needs attention.
3) Find a Company Pair
Use the available filters to narrow the list:
Search: Find a company pair by company name.
Group: Select a Group to limit the displayed relationships.
Gaps only: Show only the company pairs with a missing reconciliation or elimination that should be present.
The table is organised by Group and shows each company pair alongside the Recharge, Reconciliation, Elimination, and Loan columns.
4) Understand the Status Indicators
In each column:
A green tick indicates that at least one record of that type exists for the company pair. A count is displayed where more than one record exists.
A plus (+) button indicates that no record of that type has been set up for that pair.
Click a green tick to open the relevant tab and review the existing record.
Click a plus button to start creating that type of record. The Group and companies are already selected, reducing the need to enter the same details again.
5) Expand a Company Pair
Click a company-pair row to expand it.
The expanded view contains separate panels for Recharge, Reconciliation, Elimination, and Loan.
Each panel lists the relevant records and their status. Where available, it also displays a summary of the accounts, contacts, and tracking selections involved.
Click Open beside a record to access it directly.
If no record exists, the panel provides an option to start setting one up for that company pair.
6) Understand Open Gaps
An open gap indicates that a related setup is missing.
The Overview identifies these situations:
Recharge exists, but reconciliation is missing: The balances or transactions between the companies have not been set up for reconciliation.
Recharge exists, but elimination is missing: The corresponding intercompany amounts may not yet be configured for removal from consolidated results.
A company pair with both a recharge and a reconciliation but no elimination will show one open gap.
A company pair with a recharge but neither a reconciliation nor an elimination will show two open gaps.
A missing recharge alone is not treated as an open gap when a reconciliation or elimination has been set up independently.
The Loan column is displayed for reference; a missing loan does not count as an open gap.
7) Resolve a Missing Setup
When you identify an open gap:
Use the plus button in the relevant column, or expand the row and select the setup option.
Review the prefilled Group and company details.
Complete the remaining required fields and save.
Return to the Overview to check the updated status of the company pair.
Important Note
The Overview is intended to help you see what is configured and what still needs attention. A green tick confirms that a record exists, so open the record itself when you need to verify its details.
